A diet to prevent kidney stones is actually not too different from a normal diet. However, you need to limit the consumption of some foods are. Why so? Because, if excessive, some of the content of the food was potentially forming kidney stones. Here is a diet that you can apply to prevent kidney stones:

Reducing food sources of calcium, oxalic acid, phosphoric acid, and uric acid

Reducing does not mean you should not eat them at all. However, all of these compounds is important for our body.
However, consumption must comply with the portion required. The following sources of dietary calcium, oxalic acid, phosphoric acid, and uric acid:


  • Sources of calcium: milk, fish, dairy products
  • Source of oxalic acid: green leafy vegetables, potatoes, sweet potatoes, grapes, radishes, almonds, chocolate, tea
  • Source of phosphoric acid: milk, meat
  • Sources of uric acid: asparagus, mushrooms, broccoli, spinach
Drink plenty of water
